- Talk about times when it is not appropriate to introduce yourself to others.
- Teach the framework of conversations during classroom routines like show and tell and sharing time. Following a routine will help students develop a repertoire of questions and comments that they can use in other conversations.
- Role play appropriate conversations for a variety of situations or with a variety of people.
