Food Preparation Vocabulary

Students will demonstrate an understanding of vocabulary relating to:
  • kitchen tools
  • appliances in the kitchen
  • foods and food groups (including spices and baking ingredients)
  • directions from recipes (beat, blend, fold, etc.)
  • measurement terms (ie. Teaspoon, tablespoon, pinch, etc)
  • substitutions that can be made in cooking
