Throwing and catching bean bags is often much easier for this age group than balls which tend to run away. You can throw these to one another, your toddler can throw them into a wash basket, over a rope or onto a hole in a cardboard box for variety.- Start with just rolling the ball back and forth and catching it between your legs.
- Then have the student sit with their legs crossed - this makes a basket for them to catch the ball in.
- Finally teach them to cup their hands.
