Rubrics





Rubrics are such valuable assessment tools. They allow for clear criteria to be laid out which can be objectively considered. They make it clear what is expected at each level and set out the next steps clearly and concisely.







Here is a basic rubric template that might be helpful in assessing skills as they relate to the 4 
categories on the Planning and Assessment Chart. It is taken right from the Ontario Curriculum documents and has been modified slightly to suit the A4 project. This rubric is also attached at the bottom of this page.




 




Here is the same rubric filled out to assess students completing a kitchen safety unit.  This rubric is also attached at the bottom of this page.






And finally here is a rubric that is blank and ready for you to fill in the criteria that relates to the skills you are focusing on developing.  This rubric is also attached at the bottom of this page.
