Time Management

These are the expectations related to time management from the A4 document.
  • Use scheduling tools such as calendars, agendas and visual schedules (finding dates, times and recorded information)
  • Follow a schedule of tasks, duties and times (co-op placement schedule, visual schedule, being on time)
  • Create and follow a sequence of tasks (jotting down homework, planning when to do it, completing it)

Here are some more skills related to time management.
  • Recognize the importance of schedules in day to day life (calendars, agendas, visual schedules)
  • Use visual schedule.
  • Find a date on a calendar.
  • Know days of the week.
  • Know months of the year.
  • Know the 4 seasons of a year.
  • Understand the concepts of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
  • Understand am, pm, morning, afternoon, evening.
  • Can read and write dates in different formats (Jan. 31, 2010 or o1/31/10, 31/01/10)
  • Do simple math problems related to calendars (what date will it be in 2 weeks)
  • Judge a reasonable amount of time for a task.
  • Judge how much time has passed (how long ago did that happen?)
  • Find a date in an agenda.
  • Enter an appointment in an agenda or on a calendar.
  • Look at a schedule and describe what comes next.
  • Follow a schedule of tasks, duties and times (co-op placement gives you a weekly duties schedule, sequences of tasks during a regular school day, being on time)
